0 Comments 0 LikesWe all know going through life transgendered can be a tough task, no matter where on the spectrum you fall. It can be especially tough on the younger crowd. They're trying to figure themselves out, while at the same time getting their lives started. Sometimes it can be hard to find others their age. That's why we've started the Under 30's Group here for our younger members to gather and get advice. Our…

As many of you know, the fight is on in New York State to pass GENDA or the Gender Expression Non-Discrimination Act. It has passed in the Assembly no problem, but it's currently hung up in the Senate. We've learned only one vote separates the bill from getting out of the legislature and onto Governor Cuomo's desk and it sits in Buffalo.
SO WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!
Transgender Alliance is planning to be at Buffalo Pride on June 2nd to spread the word of GENDA. Thousands of people will be there, including some big names and we need all the support we can get. If you're planning to be there, spread the world and perhaps help a friend get there too.
Time is also of the essence. We need to act fast before the legislative session ends at the end of June.
Now is the time!!! Whether you're a New Yorker or not, let's work together to make a difference for the Trans community!!
Our own Chelsea Jones is participating in this year's Ride for Roswell. It's a bike ride to help raise cancer awareness. Think of it as a relay for life, but with bicycles. The ride goes down Saturday June 22 at the University at Buffalo. If you're interested in participating, contact Chelsea through the sisters site.
If you can't make it, but would like to donate to the cause click here.
The Erie Sisters is a support group dedicated to helping transgenders, their friends and families come to terms with themselves. We exist to promote acceptance through education, enlightenment, and social integration.
